ACCOMPLISHMENT:

Students will gain valuable knowledge in Concept Development, Critical Thinking, and the Process of Design. Throughout the course, students will present their progress on a weekly basis in order to prepare for their final presentation board.

By learning how to conduct research, students will be able to design products that are both Functional and Meaningful. Students will also have the opportunity to review products that failed in the past, allowing them to take a better approach and offer a more effective solution for human factors. This will enable them to see design as a means of Solving Real-World Issues.

OPEN STUDIO:

1

Industrial Design Open Studio  -  (8 Weeks)

(for Middle School Students)

Price: $600

CLASS DURATION: 1 HOUR

MEETS: WEEKLY

The purpose of this class is to encourage enjoyment and creativity with an organic and personalized approach based on the student’s own abilities and style in expressing their design, whether that be through abstract or literal means.

The ultimate goal is for students to learn the process of design and gain confidence in communicating their ideas.

Throughout the course, students will learn the importance of experimenting with different media and materials of their choosing, at their own expense. This studio class is not meant to be instructional in nature, but rather a hands-on experience activity.

Students will have complete control over what and how much they bring to the table. However, they will receive guidance in learning the fundamentals of Orthographic Drawings at a basic level to better understand how to execute the making of their physical 3D conceptual model.

Students are required to bring their own art materials to class.

"The future of environmental justice should be introduced to the new generation the sooner the better, don't wait for the corporate and governmental system to force them to design for a living or kill their creativity. They deserve to shape the environment they want to live in."
